Getting Technical

Just as our representative network strives to go the extra mile to serve our customers, our tech service team does the same out in the field.

Technical service and support are our highest priorities, and we will respond 24/7 to any service issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction. We also offer service contracts, for added customer support.

“We have more than 500 systems out in the field, some approaching 10 years old, that need service whether it be a media change out or a tune up,” said Paul Matz, senior project engineer.

Whether starting up a system or fixing an issue on a system that is up and running, our technicians recognize the importance of not resting until the customer is satisfied. Ensuring customer satisfaction also allows the technicians to prevent issues from returning.

“It takes months to get a customer and seconds to lose them,” says Tom Hebert, an AdEdge tech service field technician. Hebert’s job description includes performing startups, field services and field-related quality control.

But Hebert understands that his job goes beyond the technical service he can provide. Field service technicians represent AdEdge at project sites and serve as the customer’s resource for information and solutions to their technical problems.

“[Tech service] is the face of AdEdge and may be the only face a customer sees and can relate to,” he says.

Our technicians come equipped with the skills and knowledge to solve any problem. With the range of customers and sites that we serve, our technicians’ years of experience allow them to adapt their skills toward each unique situation and not quit until the issue is resolved.

“The are several separate entities involved in a municipal water treatment project,” says Hebert, “and AdEdge takes the initiative to be ultimately responsible to strive for 100 percent customer satisfaction.”

One Step Beyond

At AdEdge, we strive to go the extra mile in all aspects of our business. From the products we manufacture to the services we offer, we make sure we’re able to offer the highest quality to our customers and vendors.

Our wide network of sales representatives spans the United States and Canada, and reaches as far as Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Serbia. The knowledge and decades of experience shared by our water treatment experts give every customer the confidence of knowing they are being taken care of by a qualified representative.

Communication is vital to both the representative’s success and our success as a company. And that helps us all better serve you and meet your needs.

We are constantly training our reps on our new products and procedures, because keeping them informed is the best way to keep you informed. Our training sessions bring sales reps from all over the world to our corporate home in Georgia, where they meet our staff, tour our facilities, and get up close and personal with the products you use to solve your water needs. We’ll also be launching a webinar series for our representatives—and customers—later this year, so even from a distance they can continue educating themselves on the products and services we offer.

Let us go one step beyond what other water treatment companies provide. Check out our list of representatives to find one in your area.

Answers to the Top 10 Questions Customers Ask AdEdge (Part I)

Purchasing a water treatment system can be a daunting task. There are so many variables involved when choosing a partner company and a product, the options can be overwhelming. With some help from AdEdge project engineer Doug Emerick, we’ve compiled a list of 10 common questions our customers ask us before they make a decision.

1. How long has your company been in business?
It’s important to choose a well-established company with time-tested methods and services. At AdEdge, we have been committed to our mission of providing safe, clean water since 2002.

2. Can you provide a list of referrals or notable projects?
You wouldn’t hire an employee without asking about previous experience or checking his or her references, and the same should be done for your water treatment company. AdEdge’s website features an extensive list of case studies for some of our most successful projects. Each case study outlines the technical aspects of the project, and contact information for both the AdEdge engineer and the client are listed at the bottom, if you’d like to reach out for additional information.

3. Will your system be compatible with my site?
AdEdge offers systems for public, municipal and industrial applications. The compact design of our systems allows them to adapt to even the most challenging site conditions. Additionally, when time, space, and cost are an issue, we offer the WaterPod containerized treatment system with many customizable features—such as doors, windows, and HVAC units—to adapt to your site’s custom needs.

4. What contaminants do your systems treat?
Finding a system that treats the contaminants found in your water is just as important as finding a system compatible with your site. We offer systems that treat a number of contaminants including hydrogen sulfide, arsenic, iron and manganese, uranium, nitrates, fluoride, radium and turbidity. Our media and technology often allow us to remove a combination of contaminants in one simple process.

5. Where are your systems manufactured?
Locally manufactured systems give customers the peace of mind that their products will be cared for long after they leave the production facility. As of 2010, we manufacture nearly 100 percent of our own systems.

6. What is your typical start-up process?
The start-up process can be intimidating and it’s helpful to choose a company that will assist you every step of the way. Before starting up your system, an AdEdge representative will review the status of your site before scheduling a startup. At the startup site visit, a representative will install your system by loading the media, backwashing, and verifying the forward flow. After the AdEdge technician trains the operator on the system, your system is ready to start producing clean water!

7. What type of technical support is provided after the system is started up?
If you need technical assistance with your system, you need to find a company with a knowledgeable team that cares. AdEdge’s technical support team monitors and tracks each issue until the customer is satisfied. If it warrants a site visit, an AdEdge representative will come out and assist with your technical issue until it is resolved.

8. Do you provide an equipment warranty with your systems?
Water treatment systems are often large financial investments and it’s important to ensure that your investment is protected, should something go wrong.  With AdEdge systems, a one-year equipment/workmanship warranty comes standard and begins at the startup of your system.

9. Do you provide media replacement services?
Some companies will sell you a system and then leave you to fend for yourself when it’s time to replace the media. Not only do we provide media replacement services, but while we are replacing your media, we will also perform an overall component inspection of your system to ensure that it is running smoothly and efficiently.

10. How many of your systems are installed in the U.S. and other countries?
If a company has a quality, high-performance product, you should be able to see it in the numbers. We have more than 400 systems in action throughout North America, as well as countries including China, Indonesia, Chile and Argentina.

In a league of its own, Adedge uses "Company Teams" as a tool for self improvement.

by Joe Naylor, Marketing Manager
AdEdge Technologies Inc.

A "Team" approach in a business environment...common, but rarely well organized and facilitated as an ongoing self improvement strategy. Don't get me wrong, the analogy of a team working together in a business to achieve a common goal is certainly valid. Imagine however, not just a team but an entire league of teams that are effectively organized, meet regularly, and challenged with self improvement. And rather than competing in the playoffs, there are performances, one team to the other teams...a continuing cycle of team work, analysis, measurement, presentations, and improvement. Everyone is a participant, everyone plays, everyone benefits...particularly our customers.

Implemented nearly two years ago at AdEdge our "teams" concept has been instrumental in the successful growth and exemplary service AdEdge offers its customers. Two years ago the words technical support, safety, customer loyalty were common business terms. I understood their meaning and purpose as well as anyone. Today however, when I see and hear the same words , I see the team members, I recall the presentations made about their mission, their goals and the successful implementation of the improvement ideas the team developed.

I'll admit....at first it all seemed like a frivolous activity that wasted and diverted time from our individual job responsibilities. But after two years, the results speak for themselves. Our "teams" concept is one of AdEdge's unique competitive advantages that allows AdEdge to deliver the best products, supported by the best customer service available in the water treatment industry.

The AdEdge Technologies Clean Water Blog...Our Hope.

by Rich Cavagnaro
President, Adedge Technologies, Inc

As a company tradition at AdEdge, we keep Friday's lunchtime open for a company lunch with all staff members. Subjects can range across many topics but usually center around a theme from one of our Company's Core Values.

Passion for Clean Water

Integrity Any Time... Any Place

Exemplary Service

Excellence

Enjoyment of Work

Last Friday we had a discussion whether it was acceptable to place a lottery ticket in a church offering basket. Most people felt it was not a tasteful act to do this, but one employee mentioned that since religion is strongly associated with hope, this should be looked upon as the lottery ticket offering hope! When phrased this way most people seemed to now think this was no longer distasteful. I am in no position to understand the underlying psychological behavior this presents but it is an interesting point. Over the weekend I thought about this concept further and since our blog site is new, I was trying to understand what is it we want to accomplish with our AdEdge "Clean Water" blog and then try to look at it from another perspective.

Naturally, we want our blog to provide information about AdEdge, and about the water treatment technologies we offer, but I wrote down some other points as well using "Hope" as the catalyst for my thoughts.

I hope we become a trusted source of information concerning water treatment technologies and systems.

I hope we can connect with people around the world to educate and provide an opportunity to raise questions and concerns.

I hope we can recruit a much needed younger generation and educate them on water issues. I hope we can communicate innovation quicker to the industry which in turn allows people and communities a quicker utilization of new innovations in water treatment.

Conversely I hope the world network will be a beacon for us to innovate new products or services.

I hope our customers share their testimonials about doing business with AdEdge.

I hope we communicate positive contributions made by our industry and by our employees to enhance peoples' lives around the world.

I hope we continue to improve our use of social media to communicate more effectively to the world.

I hope this site enables us to become closer to our customers.

To quote William Sloan Coffin, "Hope arouses, as nothing else can arouse, a passion for the possible."
